Weekly Photo Challenge: Threshold

Have you ever had the temptation to do something you know you probably shouldn’t? Was the temptation so much so that you were drawn to the point just before committing the act? Did you cross the threshold, or did you pull back?

If you crossed over, what were the consequences? Did it forever alter your perspective, or did it result in one of those “meh” moments you consciously try to forget? Were the effects so that thereafter you decided to question conventional wisdom whenever it crossed your path, or were you left thinking the risk involved in skeptical experiment just wasn’t for you?

If you pulled back, do you regret it? If given a second chance, would you choose differently? If you decided to do nothing more than remain a silent observer of others faced with the same conundrum, do you sometimes find yourself whispering deadpan, “don’t do that?”

Obviously everyone has had moments like these. Do you wonder when the next moment will come? Do you think about the ramifications beforehand, or do you just stumble into every twist of fate devil-may-care? Have you ever been unwillingly pushed over the threshold by something or someone? Were you able to walk away with the cheese and a smile or were you left to hobble on with broken fingers?
