Ok, the idea of posting the image that was the primary example of last week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge, Cover Art, might seem like I’m breaking my arm trying to pat myself on the back. That said, I do have reasons that go beyond the pride of having been chosen to host a Photo Challenge. Sure, that image has been seen by more people than probably any other image I’ve posted on WordPress, but it seems strangely ironic that the image isn’t on my actual blog. Sure, it sounds a lot like pride, but there is something to be said for maintaining one’s footprint, a record if you will. There’s another reason though. As much as I would love to post a collage of my favorite entries, the process of gathering them all seems a bit herculean and boastful in and of itself. That said, I think not mentioning entries is not unlike taking a pin to a balloon after you’ve blown it up.
I spent time looking through the entries over the last week, curious to see how people would interpret the theme. Any expectations I might have had before looking at the entries were thrown out the window by the collective creativity of those in the WordPress community who took part. What I saw was and is inspiring. As a result, I wanted to post a list of several entries I fell in love with at first sight and have since gone back to view for inspiration’s sake time and time again. These are just some of the folk who deserve the applause. Lastly, I’d like to thank Ben Huberman over at The Daily Post for giving me the opportunity and helping me along the way. Thank you Ben and “thumbs up” to all of you out there who gave it your all.
